(From Rajarshi Sen, MR 1980)Just wanted to pass the sad news along to all DipSites, Mr. Din Dayal, ex-principal of DPS, Mathura Road passed away on April 23, 1998. It is a sad loss for the entire DPS family.
One of the most distinguished principals of DPS, he took Mathura Road from tents to actual buildings, and to being a school of recognized excellence throughout the country. He was soft spoken man, a great Math teacher (for those who had a chance to get an impromptu Math lesson!!) I remember, on couple of occasions, when during one of his rounds, he spied a classroom with students and no teacher, and came in to "pinch-hit" for the scheduled teacher who was either absent or was late in coming to class.
He was a fair and strict disciplinarian, won everyone's respect students and teachers alike. May God rest his soul in peace.
